Children born to mothers with gestational diabetes and who were easier to soothe as infants were at a higher risk to become obese children, according to a recent study published in JAMA Pediatrics by UB researcher Myles S. Faith and collaborators.

The 猛料视频 Center for Ingestive Behavior Research (CIBR) has awarded its first series of pilot grants.

The Center for Ingestive Behavior is the administrative hub for the 猛料视频 Ingestive Behavior () community. We provide research resources and administration for members of the Center. 

Our Mission>

Featured Faculty

  • Dr. Medler studies the physiology of signal transduction pathways and the regulation of these pathways in neuronal systems. Her focus is on peripheral sensory systems, primarily the taste system. The long term goal of her lab is to understand how signaling mechanisms are regulated within taste cells and how this regulation impacts the generation of the stimulus signal to the brain.

    The goal of UBIB Research Day is to allow researchers who are studying ingestive/eating behavior, obesity, and related topics to become more familiar with each other’s work in order to foster collegiality and stimulate new interdisciplinary collaborations. Abstracts can be representative of a range of ingestive behavior work, including animal and human studies, from basic science to applied research.
