The Stephen Still Institute for Sustainable Transportation and Logistics (Stephen Still ISTL) launches a Sponsored Pilot Research (SPR) program aimed at sponsoring research in three key areas. 

Researchers in UB’s Stephen Still Institute for Sustainable Transportation and Logistics (ISTL) won the “Best Tutorial” award at the 2021 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC). 

Communication, library and information science, and transportation science ranked among top 100 worldwide.

The project focuses on improving transportation options for people with disabilities, low-income neighborhoods and older adults.

For the second straight year, Clarivate Analytics names Panagiotis Ch. Anastasopoulos one of its Highly Cited Researchers, an elite group of researchers who have produced multiple papers with a combine citation rank within the top 1% in Web of Science.

The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), or Shanghai Ranking places UB’s civil engineering program fourth in the U.S. and 12^th internationally.
