ACLS invites applications for Luce/ACLS Dissertation Fellowships in American Art, which are designated for graduate students who are pursuing research on the history of art and visual culture of the United States, including all aspects of Native American art, and who are at any stage of PhD dissertation research or writing. The Luce Scholars Program is a nationally competitive fellowship that offers early-career leaders immersive, professional experiences in Asia. The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation offers $24,000 to individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary school level. Fellowship applicants compete only against other applicants from the states of their legal residence. As funding permits, the foundation plans to offer one fellowship per state per year.

The Institute for Citizens and Scholars Teaching Fellowship seeks to attract talented, committed individuals with backgrounds in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields into teaching in high-need secondary schools in Pennsylvania.

The Institute for Citizens and Scholars Dissertation Fellowships in Women’s Studies support the final year of dissertation writing for PhD. Candidates in the humanities and social sciences whose work addresses topics of women and gender in interdisciplinary and original ways. In each round, 10 fellows will receive $5,000 to be used for expenses connected with completing their dissertations, such as research-related travel, data work/collection and supplies.

The Innovation in Buildings (IBUILD) Graduate Research Fellowship is a program managed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory. There is a diversity gap in STEM (including building science), meaning that certain groups are underrepresented or have been historically excluded from STEM fields. These groups include, but are not limited to, those based on race, ethnicity, and gender — and this gap needs to be addressed. As part of the next generation of building science thought leaders and researchers, IBUILD Fellows have a unique opportunity to influence this industry. The fellowship will strengthen the pool of well-trained, diverse MS and PhD scholars who are equipped for research-intensive building technologies careers across all sectors. IBUILD Fellows will receive research and educational support to conduct innovative, building science-related research at their home institution in an area with demonstrated relevance to building energy efficiency.  In addition to funding high-quality research, the fellowship will provide professional development, mentoring, networking, and support for internship opportunities.

The IBM PhD Fellowship Awards Program is an intensely competitive worldwide program, which honors exceptional PhD students who want to make their mark in promising and disruptive technologies.

Fellows meet in monthly works-in-progress seminars to gain interdisciplinary perspectives on their research. Each department in the humanities, broadly defined, may nominate up to two candidates for the Fellowships, as selected by the department’s Director of Graduate Studies.
